For now....

Just a quick note to apologize for not updating, to anyone who still checks here. My brother died in January 2009 and I have not had any desire to keep updating since then. I don't know if I will update again. I haven't decided. I also know that I take so many photos that a photo blog is getting too cumbersome (kind of why I stopped scrapbooking several years back). So, I'm very sorry. But that's just how it is for me right now and I don't know when or if it will change. Thanks to those of you who I've got to know. I'm still reading, just not writing.

Winter wonderland?

To give you some idea of what the weather has been like around here for the last while: white stuff. About 3 feet of it. All at once.

Feel free to stop coming down anytime. Really.

Soon we won't even be able to make it out to the hot tub!

Cinnamon minis

I recently bought a fantastic thing called The Cookie Book, and it helped me turn this...

... into these :) And they were really good!

So long, farewell...

In the next week we will bid farewell to and sell Andrew's Chevy Cavalier as we have bought a Santa Fe SUV in anticipation of more family members in a few years' time.

Andrew had his car for 8 years and was very fond of it, and the loud sub-woofer. I thought it only fitting that we have a tribute post here in its memory.

Mad Tea Party

Tamara celebrated her 28th birthday with a Hat party. And tea. And a pirate, apparently.

Very funky tea... starts off as a ball and...

..blossoms into this! Tamara is quite the tea conoisseur.

Andrew and I, with our feminine hats.

Yummy scones that we ate with jam and real clotted cream.

The fabulous tea-cup of Tamara's that I used.

I love your hat! Can I take it home?

Halloween highlights

We had a mini-get-together for Halloween. We'd done some pumpkin carving at Jordan and Lindsey's a few nights before and this Shrek creation turned out really well.

L-R: Tamara (angel), José (80's rapper), Andrew (the Doppler Effect... an idea borrowed from The Big Bang Theory show) and Jocelyn (random Battlestar Galactica crew person).

Say cheese!
