First day of summer

June 20th, 4.49pm....
Summer arrives!

It looked like this. We were not impressed.

THIS weekend, however, has been stinking hot. Thursday was a cool 16 degrees, Friday ramped up the heat and by Saturday morning we were sweltering hot. Sunday afternoon we took a photo of the thermostat in our house. It actually went up to 29.5 degrees but at that point I was too hot and lazy to get the camera out again.

We've been trying to cook as little as possible, especially during the day. I did make a few cupcakes though.
